About Paula

Paula JonesI started practising yoga regularly in 2003 and qualified as an Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga teacher with Mark Freeth in 2007.  I started teaching in 2009, initially a weekly class after work for my office colleagues who had nagged me into it!  In 2010 I started teaching at Stonemonkey Yoga Studio as well as running one-to-one sessions.

I practise at home regularly and attend classes and workshops whenever I can. I’ve been inspired by some wonderful teachers including Liz Lark, Claire Missingham, Ana Forrest, Richard Freeman, Joey Miles, Hamish Hendry, Anthony Hall and not forgetting Digby Platt.  I’m also continually inspired by those who attend my classes and I love the collective energy and focus in the room, and the feeling of mutual support.

When I’m not teaching or practising yoga, I’m a part-time fundraiser for a charity based in Warwick so I understand the physical and mental stresses of an office job; I also know the strains (and delights) of bringing up two children.  Yoga has made me a calmer, happier person, more at ease with my body, and I get a huge buzz from sharing yoga with others through my teaching.
